Holding a PhD in geography, I'm currently working on a research project about bicycle use of children and teenagers in Western Switzerland. From 2014 to 2019, I was an assistant and PhD student with Patrick Rérat, professor of geography of mobilities. My doctoral thesis was about residents of car-free housing - residential developments where the inhabitants commit to living without a private car. I analysed their profiles, why these households choose to live in car-free housing developments and how they are mobile without owning a private car as well as the context needed for car-free living.
