Résumé: This paper provides a case study of Tatopani in the Rasuwa district of Nepal to assess to what extent tourism there benefits the local population. Tourism was implemented by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program and follows a pro-poor tourism approach. Relying on this case, it is possible to identify and generalize the positives and negatives impacts generated by the implementation of such initiatives and reveal the challenge arising from this type of Tourism.
