Understanding the impact of Swiss nature parks on the ecological infrastructure (EI), and how different people perceive, and value nature are critical for biodiversity conservation and to improve human good quality of life as well as to maintain an effective EI. If these parks are to be replicated and sustained as is the goal for achieving their biodiversity and socio-economic targets, their positive (or negative) impact and effects need to be studied to inform management. Similarly, because perceptions can influence people's behavior, the analysis of perceptions can shed light on elements that guide conservation action and decision. These are the overall research objectives set in this study.
