Flore Lafaye de Micheaux completed her PhD in geography (political ecology) at University of Lausanne, Institute of Geography and Sustainability in September 2019. Under the supervision of Prof. Christian Kull, her thesis 'Political ecology of a sacred river: hydrosocial cycle and governance of the Ganges, India' argues for an advancement of the hydrosocial cycle framework for use in river studies.
Flore is now part of the Development, societies, environments research group as a research fellow. She currently works for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as well as for the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
