Ange N. K. Martin's is a doctoral candidate in the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Lausanne (IGD). He works as an assistant diplômée under the supervision of Prof. Selin Yilmaz. Ange holds a Bachelor in Social and economic Sciences from University Lyon 2 and a Master in African studies from University of Geneva, where he specialized on development economics and energy. His primary interests are collective uses of electricity, energy access, energy demand estimation and the social dimensions of energy systems more in general. In his PhD research he explores Energy communities as a form of socio-technical innovation with the purpose of understanding potential advantages, barriers to implementation and limit of energy communities, both in Switzerland and Sub-Saharan Africa, through mixed method research.
