Data Science to investigate Firms' Strategies

Cities are places of accumulation of power, knowledge and wealth. By concentrating the actors and the resources of the global economy, they represent a strategic stake in the location choices for businesses.

Devoted to economic and urban geography, my expertise lies on strategies of multinational firms through their financial organization networks. In a management and quantitative approach, I strive to position cities in urban systems, according to the roles they play in the firms' global value chains.

My gaze is specifically focused on the insertion of Central European cities in the networks of multinational firms of the motor industry in the context of integration into the European Union. My geography is both industrial and financial, enhanced of regional sciences, management and Data Science.

After a collaboration with the Charles University, the University of Economics in Prague and the CEFRES (French Research Centre developping scientific networks in Central Europe), I joined the Institute of Geography and Sustainability of the University of Lausanne in March 2012. I got a doctor's degree in geography in February 2016 and continue my investigations there as a lecturer and researcher.
