Since May 1st 2017, I work as an assistant and PhD candidate with Prof. Patrick Rérat in mobility geography. I studied geography, information and communication science and history at the University of Neuchâtel, before pursuing a master's degree in geography (MSc), "urban studies", at the University of Lausanne.
After my studies, I worked for over a year in transport planning firms. First of all at Bfluid, a consulting firm with a focus on walkability and public spaces. Later, as an intern in transport planning at Basler & Hofmann in Zürich.
My interests relate to individual mobility practices and particularly sustainable practices such as cycling. After studying the users of electrically-assisted bicycles (e-bikes) in the city of Lausanne for my master's thesis, my doctoral thesis pursues this subject. My research focuses on e-bikes as an example of new mobility practices, and the relationship between mobility, life course, and territorial setting.
