Emmanuel Salim

Emmanuel Salim is an Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès and an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Lausanne.

His work focuses on the transformation of tourism and outdoor recreation practices in the context of environmental changes, particularly those related to climate change. He is interested in the adaptation of tourism stakeholders and tourist behaviour. In terms of research areas, he is mainly interested in mountain areas, but also in coastal tourism areas.

His current projects focus on the adaptation of destinations related to summer glacier skiing and on changes in the behaviour of recreational alpinists faced with the consequences of climate change in high mountain areas.
