Lorenz Keysser is a Graduate Assistant at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability and works with Prof. Julia Steinberger on ecological economics and degrowth. He holds a bachelor and masters diploma in environmental sciences from ETH Zurich, with a focus on environmental systems and policy. In his doctoral research, Lorenz revisits key theoretical debates in ecological economics and degrowth. This includes the question on the social origins of the economic growth imperative as well as its political and strategic implications for tackling socio-ecological crises.
