This research project deals with the social stakes of mobility through the study of cycling classes for adults - in majority women who have a migration backrgound - in Switzerland. Taking into consideration the critical role of mobility in shaping lifestyles and places, this research draws from qualitative mixed methods to explore the potential of a minority mode of transportation: the bicycle. It therefore analyses the link between mobility (capital), autonomy adn the capacity to act and questions the effects of alternative mobility practices at an individual and collective level.
