This research aims to highlight the different types of interrelations between (urban) commons, tourism and territorial development. Indeed, those community-based initiatives or self-managed spaces sometimes offer touristic resources and activities. This thesis will apprehend the diverse dynamics that urban commons are facing, allowing us to assess the complex socio-economic issues challenging them. Studying the impact of those initiatives on the territory will enable us to see the role of local community in the making and development of their own territory. Indeed, it is interesting to analyze the impact that local communities and populations can have in terms of territorial development, especially in a context of ecological and political crisis. Furthermore, this new link with tourism is also an important element to explore in this study, as trying to understand how this link was created and why is important regarding the evolution of tourism practices. This can also open up new tourism possibilities/opportunities, allowing us to study the impacts of this touristification on the initiatives themselves (loss of identity, economic dependence, ideological diffusion and confrontation...).
