The main goal of the PhD is to research different innovative initiatives and approaches for the adequate recognition of common governance of socio-ecosystems for meeting policy goals and ultimately facing major global challenges in Spain. These initiatives and approaches are: Rewards for Ecosystem Services, a critical analysis on EU official data as a source of recognition for common-related traditional activities such as extensive grazing, and Local communities self-governed peer-to-peer support and revision processes for ICCA recognition.
