This research project supported by the national agency for scientific research (ANR) in France has the objective of better understanding how to welcome, within an urban context, the development of light transport modes with a low environmental impact (i.e., bicycles, e-bikes and other light personal travel modes). There are currently three obstacles limiting these modes' development: (1) a lack of safety, (2) the inadaptation of infrastructure at the spatial level, and (3) the inefficiency of public action faced with rapid changes in users' needs (3). The IGD/OUVEMA will contribute knowledge and results from studies on cycling security in the swiss context.
