Systemic transformations of the agri-food system are necessary to improve its environmental and nutritional sustainability. The objective of the present project is to work in a multidisciplinary way to define methods of system modelling and sustainability analysis specific to territorialized food chains and thus to analyze the role of territorial proximities in terms of environmental and nutritional performance. This work will complement ongoing research in France with fieldwork in Switzerland in collaboration with UNIL and ETH and will thus benefit from the expertise of researchers involved in different disciplines. It is expected that the project will benefit the stakeholders involved and that the results will be disseminated to society. The objective for the fellow is also to acquire new research skills in industrial ecology applied to territorial food systems.
