Climate movements call for «listening to science» and place strong value on scientific knowledge. Yet, the link between these movements and science is still relatively rarely studied and varies across countries and movement strands. This article addresses this gap through an ethnographic research withinClimate Strike Switzerland, a member of Fridays for Future, clarifying this link to science and documenting the movement in Switzerland. The findings show that, unlike other components of climate movements, Climate Strike produces (counter) expertise and clearly states political stances and a system change demand. These forms of expertises are situated within a discourse and project that seek to break with the established order, while extensively mobilising existing science (notably the publications of theIntergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC) and as well as knowledge that is recognized, and in some cases even produced, by the authorities. Finally, while rejecting the logic of "expert systems", the movement produces forms of expertise that are analogous in form to mainstream expertise. These are produced and disseminated both within and at the margins of Climate Strike through practices of «political popular education» and are collectively promoted by the movement, which thereby assumes the role of expert itself
