Part of his work seeks to recover the role of women and the popular classes in the origins of the French Revolution. His research on the herbières of Grenoble (women who gathered and sold grass and fodder) has made it possible to reassess their participation in the Day of the Tiles and their mobilization to defend access to the communal lands of the Drac.
This work accompanied a commemorative project carried out with the City of Grenoble, which led in 2024 to the installation of a plaque recalling the role of women in the Grenoble origins of the Revolution. It has also given rise to conferences devoted to the relationships between women, the environment, matrimony, and revolution.
